I recently discovered a new to me app that I seriously cannot get enough of! My bestie told me about it and for that she is super rad! (I already thought that, but I really appreciate the recommendation of this app!) As a reading enthusiast, I am constantly reading things on my phone; articles, blogs, and news stories. So the Libby app has been awesome for me to read books without spending a single dollar.
All you need for the Libby app is a library card. I put my card information in and I was ready to go. I have used this app and borrowed books, reserved books that were not available yet, and listened to ebooks. You are also able to check out and read magazines on this app too!It is really easy to use, I am not very technologically gifted, so user friendly apps are the ones that I actually keep using after the initial download.
Libby allows you to check out books for 14 days at a time. While reading you are able to read and close the app and it keeps your place for you, without having to do anything. It has an in-app define feature, for when you need to look up a word that you don’t know. It also keeps track of how long you’ve been reading; as well as projecting an approximate estimation of when you will finish the book as you read.
Another thing that I like about having this app on my phone, is that I don’t have to remember to pack my book in my bag. I always have my phone in the pocket of my jeans or in my bag. So I have access to my book anywhere. I also like the fact that you don’t need internet access while reading. You can continue reading even if you have bad cell service. This is seriously my favorite app this summer! I have been on it so much! And I am actually getting reading done!
